This morning started with the climb up to Benson Pass at 10094′. Then it was downhill and back up again to Seavey Pass at 9109′. We ended up stopping earlier than planned at Kerrick Creek after only 17.7 miles because it’s the 4th of July and we wanted to celebrate.
We had a fire, a talent show, a singalong of “This Land is Your Land,” and some sharing of lemonade, apple pie, whiskey, and chocolate. I made the Canadians participate too. ‘Merica!
