Almost Ready

I just booked my flight to Atlanta and my shuttle from the airport to the trail!

Yesterday I started moving my things into storage, and I have until Thursday to finish and turn in my apartment keys.

Friday is my last day at work so I need to finish up some projects there this week. No travel thankfully.

Saturday and Sunday I’ll be busy saying goodbye to family and friends.

Monday I’ll be off.

Can’t wait!

Good luck! Would like to know what kind of boots you chose. I love my high top Kean’s for NJ’s roots and rocks but I toe-jam on mountain descents. I’m trying Australian lambs wool packing for our next leg. I mentioned on Facebook we’ll be traveling south from High Point, NJ to where ever the next 30 miles takes us during Labor Day weekend but you’ll probably be passed us by then.

    • Thanks! I will be using trail runners the whole time actually, lightweight and quick-drying. I was on the trail in the Water Gap last fall, NJ’s (and PA’s) rocks are annoying no matter what shoe you’re wearing. I expect to be through there by July this year so I will miss you but I love that you’re section hiking!

    • Hi Kristen! I wish you all the best on this adventure. I wanted to let know my mother in law Denise lives in chambers burg pa. She said she is about 5 min from the trail. She said she would be more than happy to pick you up if you need a place to shower and eat. Let me know when you get closer. Ill give you her contact information.

  2. Hey man! Best of luck. This sounds so freaking cool to me man. Have a killer time and I can’t wait to watch as you progress along the way. And I look forward to reading that book when you are done!
