We hung around the friary all morning and started hiking just after noon. It had rained most of the night but my tent was dry by the time we left. The trail today was easier than it has been lately, although it was so humid we kept taking long breaks. When I get home, I look forward not only to being clean on a daily basis, but to being dry.

At one point we thought we were about to get poured on because the wind was whipping and thunder was getting closer, and we were about to set up tents to wait it out, and suddenly the sun came out and it went away. It threatened rain a couple of times but never did much. We are expecting a big storm tonight though so our tents are set up near living trees only, no deadfall or widow makers anywhere around. 10.5 miles today.
