It didn’t rain today, but the clouds and humidity hung around. I stayed in my tent late to help me keep my miles low, starting around 9:30.
The trail was soft pine needles all day. Enough people caught up to me at lunch that it was easy to take a really long break. And then I ran into some others camped early at Trout Creek, which made it easy to stop for the night. Only 10.9 miles today!
My foot is still feeling fine, but I took the opportunity to do even lower miles today just in case. I expect it to rain tomorrow and it’s hard to take long breaks in the rain.
First photo. Fern gully. 🙂
I’m proud of you for taking it slow!
